Competition Details The Six Nations Forecast Competition is run by the 200 Club each Spring. Entrants complete a coupon on which they forecast the result of the matches in the Six Nations Championship by predicting a win for either the home or away team and a margin of victory of under 8 points or 8 points or more. A drawn match counts as a win by the away team by under 8 points. Points are awarded as follows for each match that is correctly forecast.
Entry coupons cost £2 each and a book of 5 costs £10. The proceeds of the competition are used solely for the benefit of London Irish Amateur Rugby. P. Charles Byrne conceived and implemented the original Five Nations Forecast Competition which today comprises Six Nations. Charles single-handedly ran this competition for club members and a further competition for the rugby writers, culminating in a presentation to the winner of the Leprechaun Trophy at the Leprechaun Lunch. The First Prize now stands at £1,000. CONTACTS FOR COUPONS: If you are a playing member, please get in touch with your age group contact. Coupons can also be purchased at the Club Shop and Four Provinces Bar. DEADLINE! ALL COUPONS MUST BE RETURNED BY FRIDAY FEBRUARY 6th.
