The last weekend - and the Bs win in Grasse

Despite their best efforts in getting a bonus point win against Chichester on Saturday 18th April the London Irish Wild geese end the season in third place just one point off the playoff position; click here for the final league table of the year and here for our match report . We thank the Geese for the entertainment they provided this season and wish them well for next season.

The Bs continued their proud touring tradition with a weekend in Nice and took part in a three-way veterans tournament in Grasse (just north of Nice). They won fairly comfortably against Aix-en-Provence, by 6 tries to 2, and then played the hosts in the final game. A much harder encounter ensued but the Bs triumphed by 2 tries to nil, showing particular defensive prowess to prevent Grasse from scoring. By common consent this was an expertly organised tour, by Andrew Bagley et al, and it was capped by probably the Bs finest ever touring performances on the pitch.

However the action doesn’t stop as next weekend we look to our heroes of the past and our start of the future.
Saturday sees the London Irish Bs take on the Greyhounds with a 1pm kick off in Hazelwood.

On Sunday, what is possibly the biggest mini rugby festival in the world takes place when mini rugby teams from all over Europe gather in Hazelwood for the annual London Irish Mini Rugby Festival.
Gates from 8am.
