The Geese on Tour

After much planning and fundraising, 26 representatives of the Wild Geese headed off to Heathrow early on May 21st for a short but concentrated tour to Seattle in North West USA.

The ambitious fixture was agreed by our Head Coach, Duncan Cormack, in conjunction with his great friend Kevin Flynn, President of Seattle Saracens and formerly of London Irish.

The Head Coach at Seattle is Justin Fitzpatrick. The Honours Board at Sunbury reminds us that Justin was capped 26 times for Ireland during his spells at London Irish and Ulster. He is currently Forwards Coach to the U.S. Eagles, obviously now preparing for the World Cup over here in Sept.

Seattle Saracens are now recognised as the most prominent club in the USA. An example of this is that the last Eagles fixture against Argentina Pumas on May 2nd contained no less than 6 players from Seattle. They lost that game 28-23.
